Artist’s statement

Fortunately the animals cannot speak to us!
They are obliged…
…or better condemned,
to inhabit the same planet with us, the foolish humans…
… allegedly intellective and civilized,
If, one day, they decided to desert the earth,
- while WE, already, contribute to their disappearance from the universe –
would we – the HUMANS – realize the consequences?
The answer is:
a. the mentally healthy… (a minority as always)… would fall in a state of depression;
b. the unfeeling… (the majority as always)… wouldn’t even notice it.

Artist biography

Dimitra Goussi was born in Ioannina, Greece, in 1976. Between 1994 and 1999 she studied at the School of Fine Arts, Department of Visual Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her biography includes an individual exhibition in January 2007 in Ioannina and the participation in several collective exhibitions in Greece, in Thessaloniki, Serres, Edessa, Ioannina, Irakleion, as well as in Belgrad, Serbia.
